Action Plan Implementation
Help CSOs implement their Action Plans and maintain review checkpoints through the year.
A practical year-at-a-glance guide for the teacher who helps Chief Science Officers navigate plans, reporting, events, permissions, and school coordination.
The CSO Advisor meets at least twice a month with their CSO or CSOs. These check-ins support the ongoing work described throughout this guide.
The role connects student leadership work with the people, processes, and permissions inside the school or district.
Help CSOs implement their Action Plans and maintain review checkpoints through the year.
Review LMS or Google Classroom activity connected to the program.
Support interactions with mentors, the school, and the district.
Handle permission slips, transportation requests, and excused absences.
Coordinate with school administration as CSOs carry out program responsibilities.
Attend Cabinet Meetings alongside the school's CSO or CSOs.
Use this sequence to keep recurring meetings, reports, events, permissions, and reflection visible throughout the program year.
Meet with CSOs at least twice each month and review LMS or Google Classroom activity.
Support required LTI participation and keep the Quarter 1 reporting checkpoint visible.
Attend alongside CSOs and support permissions, transportation requests, and excused absences.
Attend alongside CSOs and continue Action Plan review and implementation support.
Keep the year-end Reflection deadline visible as CSOs document their implementation.
Support the final Quarterly Report checkpoint at the End of Year Celebration.
Advisors support CSOs through the documented progression from school to community to leadership to team member.
The responsibilities are active now. Downloadable IU29 templates are not currently available in this repository.

The checkpoints are Q1 at LTI, Q2 at Fall Cabinet, Q3 at Spring Cabinet, and Q4 at the End of Year Celebration.
The Reflection is due April 1. A downloadable reminder or tracking form is not yet available.
Track parent or guardian media consent for any student photos used publicly. A verified downloadable form is not yet available.
Coordinate transportation requests and administration alongside permission and attendance needs.
